I am a painter living in Bath. I graduated in 2007 from Brighton university in Fine Art, painting. 

I am inspired by my local landscape, which often gives me a place of respite. I aim to portray its sense of solitude, isolation and natural beauty. 

My process starts with sketching from life, taking photos and more sketching. I then create the compositions for my paintings from these. The colours and mark making are very much more intuitive, and my favourite part of the process. 

I have just taken up painting again after a long 8 year break bringing up my children.
