My paintings arise from the enchantment and wonder that I find in the natural world around me, trying to be true to the spark of the idea leads me to invent new techniques to express these, as well as making use of the ones I know - where appropriate. 

Light , colour and design are all important as ways of creating atmosphere and feelings.

Each painting is a new adventure with an unknown outcome. 

Having painted all my young life and gaining a Degree in Fine Art at Bath Academy of Art Corsham Wilts, I found work as an illustrator of children’s books, and worked free-lance and full time with this for twenty years , and for at least 30 different British publishers, 

I felt however that my best work would be via my own paintings and ideas, and so I have worked in this way since, and currently. 

I’ve exhibited and sold work in many galleries and on art trails , and will continue to do so , as well as selling privately.
