Like many artists, I live and breathe the entire process of creating, I'm constantly inspired by natural form-  especially the human body and all the wonderful things it can do.  I enjoy multiple aspects of the creative process from the visceral joy of playing with paint, the tactile pleasure of a piece of clay, learning something new or practical problem solving.

Currently I’m working on a series called ‘States of Being’, exploring this narrative across different mediums which allows me to expand the subject in subtly shifting ways.  At its core it’s an exploration of identity and what it is that makes us into the complex individuals that we become over time.  Many aspects of our lives, such as community, environmental and cultural factors, personal life events, gender and ethnicity impact this.

My background is in Graphic Design and Illustration which I studied at the London College of Printing and this has definitely influenced the way in which I work, primarily in my exploration of a subject which is a multi-faceted enquiry.  I hope that my work tells an emotional and human story which people are able to connect with and interpret through their own life experiences.
